What is a one-time link?
A one-time link (also called a self-destructing link) is a URL that can only be opened once. After the first visit, the content and the URL are permanently deleted from the server and can never be accessed again.
How do I create a one-time secret link?
On ShareURL, click the 🔥 One-Time Secret Link button, add your content, and click Generate Link. Share the link with your recipient — after they open it once, it's gone forever.
Is it safe to share passwords with one-time links?
One-time links are significantly safer than email for sharing passwords. The content is deleted immediately after first view, so it cannot be forwarded or accessed again.
What happens if the link is opened multiple times?
Only the first open shows the content. Any subsequent attempt to access the same URL shows a "link already opened" message, and the content is no longer retrievable.
Can I add extra protection to a one-time link?
One-Time Secret mode automatically deletes after 1 view. For extra security, you can also add a password so the recipient must enter it before seeing the content.
